(Zaman Alwasl)- At least 30 members of West-backed National Coalition have European and American citizenship, according to Zaman Alwasl sources.
Most of Coalition members have justified that by saying "we were obliged to have another citizenship since we were oppressed and had spent most of youth years in Bashar al-Assad’s prisons."
The foreign citizenship was used as a pretext by Syrian regime to keep accusing foreign opposition of collusion and conspiracy with West and its intelligence services.
Syrian activists have criticized the newborn Syrian opposition since they have gained lots of merits such as money and permanent visa to Europe, "what make some of them a typical version of Assad's corrupt class," they say.
