HOMS (Zaman Alwasl)- 5 people will be executed over allegations of committing crimes, robbery and looting in al-Waer neighborhood in Homs this week, according to a joint statement by key rebel groups in Homs.
Al-Nusra Front, Ahrar al-Sham, al-Ansar and Bayyda’s Martyrs announced the execution order during Friday’s pray in al-Waer’s mosques.
Some of those criminals were arrested while others run away, the speaker in Fatima Mosque requested people and battalions to help in catching them.
Sheikh Hori Othman, Fatima mosque’s speaker and former head of the Sharia Authority, mentioned that execution order was issued as a disciplinary punishment, and not implementation of the Sharia law, because implementing legal limits are ceased in wars.
After reading the statement, the mosque exploded with words “God the Greatest” as people expressed their happiness and support to the decision, because of the suffer people in the neighborhood had because of those guys.
The mosque’s speaker mentioned the painful reality in regard to “Sunni Market” as those markets are no longer limited to pro-regime neighborhoods, as some immoral armed people steal and rob civilians' houses and sell stuff openly in streets in liberated areas like the market in al-Waleed Hospital's Street. The speaker explains that execution order is the start for implementing God’s limits and bringing justice to people.
A painful incidence have been circulated in al-Waer about a young man was shot dead by a member from an Islamic group, most likely al-Nusra Front because he swore to God, while he was angry and trying to defend some people wanted by the front.
