Rebels destroy helicopter in Al Nairab airport, Aleppo

 (Zaman Alwasl)- Syrian rebels Tuesday attacked al-Nairab military airport north Aleppo, destroying a helicopter, Shahba Press News reported.

Islamic Front, key rebel group in Aleppo, says it's the second helicopter has been destroyed in two weeks in al-Nairab airport.

Activists have encouraged rebels to target regime’s helicopters which have been raining down barrels bombs on Aleppo province since last year, causing a massive exodus.

Barrel bombs, which are drums packed with explosives and shrapnel, can level entire buildings with one hit.
