Alleged Lebanese ‘tweet’ incites for murdering Syrians sparks outrage

 

 (Zaman Alwasl)- Social media activists have circulated a ‘tweet’, claimed to be posted by a Lebanese Journalist, calling for hatred and murder against Syrians live in Lebanon.

"Every Lebanese person should kill any Syrian he meets! You can call this (tweet): racism, extremism or whatever you want," the alleged tweet by Rihab Daher.

Lebanese Army backed by Shiite Hezbollah militia has engaged in clashes with extremists Islamic State group in border Town of Arsal since five days, leaving tens dead, injured and kidnapped.

Meanwhile, Lebanese army bombardment has caused a massive destruction for Syrian refugees’ camps amid severe siege imposed by surrounding Shiite villages, pro-Hezbollah, in Bekaa valley, which prevent the humanitarian aid from reaching the embattled Arsal.

Activists say Syrian refugees, and Syria workers before, have been facing daily abuses and acts incites for hatred and violence.

More than a million Syrian refugees live in Lebanon, making up a quarter of the country's population, having fled a civil war in its fourth year, which has left more than 171,000 dead.
