(Zaman Alwasl)- A new scenario is taking place in the Syrian war and possibly a complicated plot due to the mixture of events between eastern and Southern provinces of Syria, between ISIS and other Islamic groups.

And amid the growing worries and concerns over the “bloodthirsty” group represented by the Islamic state of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), sources in "Graneeg",in the city of Deir ez-Zor, have informed Zaman Alwasl that the organization has besieged the village for nearly three days, demanding brigades’ fighters to hand over their weapons, especially the battalions of “Ibn al-Qiyam” and “Aisha”.

Moreover, the sources also confirmed that “al-She'tat” clan has so far refused to pledge allegiance to the state, despite the great fear that ISIS militants might commit horrific atrocities and brutal massacres similar to what they have done in “Al-Mayadeen”.

In this context, and according to sources, the tribal leaders and elders of “She'tat” have exerted great efforts in defusing the crisis, on the basis of a new agreement that eliminates any contact between people of the village and “ISIS”, but without handing over any weapons.

On the other hand, and following the withdrawal of Jabhat al-Nusra, the governorate of Deir ez-Zor has become semi-empty, since most of Al Nusra’s fighters headed toward Aleppo, Daraa, where the group has more domination and control than in North of Syria, which was also the case for Ahrar al-Sham.

The two groups had left from the city, after the killing of “Safwan al-Hant” one of the Front’s princes, in an expected move after the breakdown of their forces in rural areas of the city, and since ISIS had tightened its grip on all of the cities and towns in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor as a result of the secret successive pledges of allegiance it obtained, and the settlements it concluded with some brigades.

With the new phase of “Daesh” hegemony over Deir ez-Zor and its entire country side, sources believe that the most prominent brigades such as (Liwa Abed Aziz, sons of Islam Movement) are likely to swear allegiance to the state due to their shortage of finance and ammunition, and that they might be forced to pledge allegiance with al-Baghdadi organization, in order to spare the city from further bloodshed and massacres.

Meanwhile, Zaman Alwasl has been informed that Daesh’s next battle will be controlling the military airport of Deir ez-Zor, pointing out that the fighting in “al-She'tat” has postponed the attack on the airport, but it is definitely ISIS’s next step.
