Syria's state news agency has reported fresh Israeli airstrikes on military sites on the eastern Albukamal region near the Syria-Iraq border on Tuesday night.
SANA said the damages caused by the airstrike in the eastern province of Deir Ezzor are being evaluated.
The strikes targeted a series of warehouses and sites belonging to pro-Iranian militias throughout the area, according to local news website Deir Ezzor 24.
Casualties were reported in the airstrikes, according to the Step News Agency.
Targets belonging to Iranian forces and Iranian-backed militias in the Deir Ezzor region have been repeatedly targeted by Israeli airstrikes. The recent attack was the third in the past three weeks.
Last week, an Israeli airstrike targeted locations in the town of Kiswah, lain stronghold for the Iranian militias in the southern region of Syria.
In December, two airstrikes targeted sites near the Lebanon-Syria border in Al-Zabadani and Masyaf.
In the past few years, Israel has acknowledged carrying out dozens of airstrikes in Syria, most of them aimed at suspected Iranian weapons shipments believed to be bound for Lebanon's Hezbollah.
In recent months, Israeli officials have expressed concern that Hezbollah is trying to establish production facilities to make precision- guided missiles. (Zaman Al Wasl, Agencies)
