Arab League secretary-general Ahmed Aboul Gheit arrived in Baghdad on Saturday for an official visit.
Upon his arrival in the Iraqi capital, Aboul Gheit held talks with the country's foreign minister, Fuad Mohammed Hussein.
They were set to discuss regional issues and bilateral relations.
During his one-day visit, Aboul Gheit will also meet with Iraqi President Barham Salih and Prime Minister Mustafa al Kadhimi.
