A Syrian refugee woman threw her two children over her first-floor house balcony in the German Bavaria state, the Bild newspaper reported.
The 8-year-old boy and the 20-month-old toddler have survived a tragic death but they suffer intense bruises and fractures.
The 30-year-old mother, who newly arrived in Germany, was holding another baby in her hands next to the window, the moment the emergency services raided the balcony of the house, where she was arrested.
Police say that she was in a "state of psychological disorder" and was sent to a mental hospital, while the children were referred to the youth welfare office.
