Assailants kills army officer near Lebanese border

 
A Syrian army officer was killed when an unidentified armed group stormed a military post near the Lebanese border early Tuesday, according to Zaman al-Wasl reporter.
 
Two more Fourth Division forces were wounded in the attack in the village of Kfeir Yabous in the northern suburbs of Damascus.
 
The powerful Fourth Division sent military reinforcements to the village and deployed checkpoints starting from the village all the way to the Lebanese border to hunt the assailants.
 
More than 220,000 regime forces have been killed since the armed conflict erupted ten years ago.
 
The conflict in Syria has also killed more than 500,000 people and displaced 13.2 million.
