Syrians in UAE can renew passports: Embassy

(Zaman Alwasl)- Syrian expatriate in United Arab Emirates can renew their expired passports as they can apply for new ones regardless of any other considerations, Syrian Embassy in Abu Dhabi declared on its official website.

The announcement that seems a very ordinary procedure is not the same for Syrians who oppose Bashar al-Assad since the regime has been refusing to renew passports of its opponents.

So far, the official website of Syria’s Foreign Ministry has not mentioned the same news.
