Dozens of migrants were rescued in the Mediterranean sea on Sunday by an Italian NGO ship.
59 people, including 17 minors and one pregnant woman, were aided by the vessel run by the RESQ charity.
The migrants were sailing on a wooden boat in distress in international waters, after having left 24 hours earlier from Zuwara, in Libya.
They came from a variety of countries including Syria, Somalia, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Sudan, Egypt, Yemen, Nigeria, Libya, Gambia and Ivory Coast.
