Rebels attack military bases in Ma’arat Al Nu’man near Idlib

(Zaman Alwasl)- At least 6 rebel groups, including Nusra Front and the Islamic Front, on Saturday have launched an attack on Syrian regime’s military bases in Ma’arat al-Nu’man near Idlib, a monitoring group said.

The Islamic battalions stormed regime’s military bases in Wadi al-Dheif, al Mastomi and al-Qermid, no casualties reported, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

Bashar al-Assad air forces in response have carried out 3 raids on rebel-held city of Ma’arat al-Nu’man.

In relevant development, violent clashes have taken place between the regime forces supported by NDF against the Islamic battalions in the vicinity of Eshtabraq village, predominantly by Alawite sect, near   Jisr al-Shugour city, according to the Observatory.
