(Reuters)- Supporters of Islamist Nusra Front, a group linked to al-Qaida, said on
Twitter on Sunday that the group is demanding the release of Abu Mussab
al-Suri, a top al-Qaida leader, in exchange for 44 UNDOF peacekeepers
from Fiji detained since Thursday.
Al-Suri, a Syrian national from Aleppo, was captured in Pakistan in 2005
and handed over to Syria, where he is still believed to be detained.
