(Zaman Al Wasl- SOHR)- Syrian intelligence services have arrested 5 pro-regime activists, 4 of them are from the coastal region while the other from the city of Damascus, a monitoring group said.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said the activists were covering the news of the military operations of the regime forces as well as the news of the regime’s bombardment and aerial strikes on the Syrian areas.
They have been arrested due to their campaign that demands to unveil the destiny of hundreds of regime’s soldiers who were killed in the clashes with IS in the Division17, Brigade93, the airbase of al Tabaqa in the province of al Raqqa, the gas field of Sha’er in the eastern countryside and some other areas, the Britain-based observatory said.
They started their campaign by demanding to unveil the destiny of hundreds of fighters and soldiers of the regime forces and NDF who were left to face their destiny in the IS- held areas this campaign has come coincided with the state of resentment that has prevailed in the villages and towns that are loyal to the Syrian regime, which most of the regime’s militiamen come from, due to the regime’s heavy casualites in the Division17, Brigade93, the airbase of al Tabaqa in the province of al Raqqa, the gas field of Sha’er and the Regiment of al Melabeyyi where 1000 soldiers were killed and beheaded.
Some pro- regime activists and young people were working on organizing demonstrations and campaigns on social networking sites demanding to dismiss the Defense Minister and some offices of the army and intelligence that are responsible for defeats. But they changed their minds to do demonstrations because of the promises of the Media Office at the Republican Palace that the Defense Minister is no going to be in the new formation of the government and the responsible offices are going to be investigated but nothing from these promises have been achieved.
The regime’s media focused in the
last week on the incident of the regime’s soldier “Adnan Yahia al Shoghri” who
was executed by IS after arresting him in the Brigade 93, where he appeared in footage
distributed by IS handcuffed and accompanied by another soldier. IS executed
the first soldier by shooting him, then they demanded from the soldier Adnan
Yahia al Shoghri to say “the State of Islam is everlasting” he responded “I
swear by Allah we will remove it”. At the same time of talking about Adna Yahia
al Shoghri on the pro- regime media the IS fighters were executing dozens but
hundreds of the regime’s soldiers and officers under media blackout on this
matter which led to increase the tension in the regions where the regime’s
soldiers and fighters come from.
