The Opposition-held Jarabulus border crossing will raise the number of visits allowed for the holders of Gaziantep's residency card (Kimlik) and those with dual citizenships to 6 times a year.
The new decision by the crossing administration, controlled by the Interim Government, has tripled the number of visits for Syrian living in Turkey after it was in a previous decision twice while maintaining the reservation mechanism through the link designated for vacations.
The decision indicated that no decision has yet been issued regarding the Eid holiday from the Turkish side, and this decision comes 3 months after the crossing was closed.
Last December, the state of Gaziantep made an electronic portal to reserve for for Syrians want to enter through the Jarabulus crossing into the liberated areas (Jarabulus - al-Bab - Azaz - Afrin) in the northern countryside of Aleppo Syria through the "Karkamish" crossing.
Among the entry conditions, according to what “turk.wiki” reported, is that the person has a ‘Kimlik’ card issued by the state of Gaziantep exclusively, that the date of entry and return is booked through the announced on the e.portal, and that the person has received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and holds a vaccination certificate.
The decision pointed out the need to make an appointment for each family member separately and pay the entry permit fee, which is estimated at 40 Turkish liras (About $3) per person, while children born after 1/1/2010 were exempted from paying the fees.
The decision stipulated that people who obtained Turkish citizenship (dual nationals) are not entitled to apply through the link. For pregnant women, the presence of pregnancy must be proven through a medical report that noted the duration of pregnancy in liberated areas.
The crossing had exempted visitors through it to and from Turkish territory at the beginning of last January from fees that were imposed on them by the Syrian side, which amounted to 20 Turkish liras ($1.5) per person aged 18 years and over.
