One person killed in SDF missile attack on Azaz town

One person was killed and 7 others wounded on Wednesday due to a missile attack by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on Azaz border town in northern Syria.

Zaman al-Wasl correspondent said that one civilian had died and seven were wounded, including a woman, in a critical condition, when 10 Grad rockets fell on several neighborhoods of Azaz.

The attack on the Turkish-backed National Army areas was launched from military bastions controlled by the US-backed SDF militia, the reporter said.

The bombing caused widespread destruction of civilian homes and shops inside the city, adding that one of the missiles targeted the vicinity of a kindergarten, and another targeted the “State Roundabout”, in addition to targeting the vicinity of the Security Directorate in the city.

The Syrian revolution that turned into a bloody conflict has claimed 500,000 lives and has displaced 13,2 million people since it erupted in March 2011 with the brutal repression of anti-regime protests.
