Idlib: 30 food poisoning recorded in two IDP camps

At least 30 poisoning cases were recorded amid IDPs in northern Idlib province, as a result of eating Ramadan breakfast meals distributed by a humanitarian organization within two camps.

Zaman Al-Wasl correspondent confirmed that, after midnight on Sunday, the Syrian Civil Defense rescued about 30 poisoned IDPs from "Al-Aina'a" camp and "Kafr Awaid" camp to "Killi" town hospital.

The Ramadan food rations have been spoiled by poor packaging and high temperatures.

The reporter added that the number of poisoning cases is likely to visit, due to the suffering of some of the displaced inside the two camps.

The northern region of Syria is home to 3.5 million refugees but controlled by the opposition's military factions amid piling economic difficulties due to a decade of war that claimed 500,000 lives and has displaced 13.2 million people.
