The International Coalition began Friday new military exercises within one of largest bases in eastern Syria, sources told Zaman al-Wasl.
The US-led forces began the drill with intensive military exercises inside the "Al-Omar" oil field base, east of Deir Ezzor province, in which US helicopters participated, which carried out training raids in the desert of the military base, in addition to other military exercises on field cannons with live ammunition, coinciding with intense flight of aircraft over the region.
According to the sources, a high-level military delegation from the US Department of Defense arrived on Friday morning via a military cargo plane to the "Al-Omar" oil field base (the largest military base of the US-led International Coalition in Syria).
The sources indicated that last Saturday, the US forces backed by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) conducted intensive military exercises on various heavy and medium weapons in the town of Abu Khashab northwest of Deir Ezzor province.
