Rebels kill senior officer in northern Idlib province

Pro-regime news sites mourned a brigadier general who was killed when his car was targeted by a guided missile in northern Idlib province on Friday.

Informed sources told Zaman al-Wasl that Brigadier General "Haidara Nawras Othman", working in the ranks of the "Eighth Division" in the regime's army, died of his wounds on Friday night, after his car was targeted with a TOW-guided missile by the "Al-Fateh al-Mubin" faction near Kafranbel town.

 Brigadier General "Osman" was riding in an ammunition car to distribute it to the military units. He and one of his companions were killed as a result of the targeting, in addition to the explosion of the ammunition car completely.

Meanwhile, a Russian warplane carried out three air strikes using high-explosive missiles, targeting the "111th Regiment" axis near the town of Darat Izza in the western countryside of Aleppo, without causing any casualties.

On Friday, two Turkish soldiers were wounded, after Iranian militias stationed in the town of "Qebtan al-Jabal" in the western countryside of Aleppo, with artillery shells, targeted a military point belonging to the Turkish forces in the vicinity of the village of "Sheikh Suleiman" near the town of Darat Azza.

More than 230,000 regime forces have been killed since the armed conflict erupted 11 years ago. In turn, the Syria regime has killed more than 500,000 people and displaced 13.2 millions.
