Assad forces recapture 3 villages in Hama, rebels alert

HAMA (Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regime armed forces have recaptured 3 villages in Hama province as airstrikes keep pounding rebel-held areas, activists said on Sunday.

Rebels’ Shariah authority in northern countryside of Hama has declared ‘General Alram’, calling on all fighters to defend their territory as Basher al-Assad’s forces backed by Iranian Republican Guards and National Defence militia are pressing rapid advances.

Regime’s gains came by Assad’s sincere man, Colonel Suhail al-Hassan, one of most savage army commanders, who leads Hama’s military operations.

Assad’s forces have taken control of Tybat al-Imam, Jisr Helfaya, and Aloweibdi towns.

The main mission of al-Hassan,  appointed last Month, is to confront rebels’ assaults on Alawite villages in Hama since Rebels have been intensifying shelling on the villages, sparking fears of Assad loyalists, according to sources.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said regime’s helicopters have dropped barrel bombs on Kafr Zeita and Morek towns in the northern countryside.

Clashes in Hama Front have sparked after long calm between Assad's forces and rebels in the historic province which had witnessed bloody clashes and memorable protests at the beginning of Syrian uprising in 2011.

More than 191,000 people killed and over 9million forced to flee their homes.
