"National Army" thwarts regime attack east of Aleppo


The Turkish-backed Syrian National Army thwarted an infiltration of the Syrian regime forces late on Sunday on the axes of the "Euphrates Shield" area, northeast of Aleppo province.

A military source confirmed to Zaman al-Wasl that "the Building and Liberation Movement managed on Sunday night to repel an infiltration attempt by military groups from Assad's forces on the axis of the town of Tadef, near the city of al-Bab, located within what is known as the area of "Euphrates Shield" east of Aleppo governorate, stressing that "there were wounded among the attacking forces, without making any significant progress."

Meanwhile, the factions of the "Al-Fateh Al-Mubin" operations room operating in (Idlib region) on Sunday night targeted regime military headquarters in the village of Tanjara in the "Al-Ghab Plain" area in the northwestern Hama countryside.

Also on Sunday, the regime forces mourned on social media the Brigadier General Zakwan Ali Suleiman, who succumbed to his wounds sustained the day before, as a result of the Turkish army targeting, with artillery shells, a military site of the regime forces in the village of "Al-Mayassa" in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

Brigadier General Ammar Tishuri, commander of the 135th Brigade, Captain Ammar Muhanna, and Captain Laith Ghosn were killed last Thursday, and a number of regime officers were wounded, after the Turkish army targeted a military site of the regime forces in the village of "Al Mayassa", which is controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), north of Aleppo.
