SDF rocket attack wounds three displaced near Afrin

At least three civilians were injured Saturday in a rocket attack by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), on a displaced camp in the countryside of Afrin, north of Aleppo province, one of the strongholds of the Turkish-backed Syrian opposition.

Local sources told Zaman al-Wasl that three IDPs were injured on Saturday afternoon, when the SDF forces stationed in the northern countryside of Aleppo fired more than 5 missiles at the Al-Amal-2 camp in Jabal al-Khalidiyah in the countryside of Afrin, north of Aleppo.

The bombing caused damage to more than 10 makeshift houses inside the camp, and led to the displacement of large numbers of people from the camp towards the neighboring areas, fearing that the camp would be subjected to another targeting.

Last October, a civilian was killed and others were injured as a result of a missile strike by the SDF on a displaced camp in the Jebb Teranda area near Afrin.
