Turkish authorities have arrested 1,419 migrants and arrested 104 human traffickers in the northern province of Kocaeli since the beginning of 2023, according to an official statement released on Monday.
Kocaeli Province reported that the human smugglers were arrested in 79 separate incidents this year, Anadolu Agency reported.
The number of irregular migrants handed over to the state immigration department for deportation is 1,419.
