A number of members of the Afghan Fatemiyoun militia were killed and wounded as a result of their military vehicle fire near the Dabaa military airport in the southwestern countryside of Homs on Friday evening.
A military source told Zaman al-Wasl that a fire broke out inside a military vehicle belonging to the Iranian-backed militia with four members traveling, which was between the military airport and the town of Dabaa.
He explained that the cause of the fire was the explosion of ammunition that was loaded inside the car with the aim of transporting it to one of the military points near the town of Qusayr, which led to its complete burning, in addition to the explosion of the ammunition inside it.
The source confirmed that the fire led to the death of three members, including a field commander responsible for the car, and the wounding of a fourth with burns and serious wounds. All of the members held Iraqi nationality.
He added that the militia transferred its members to one of the medical points inside the town of Qusayr, in addition to imposing full alert in the region by the Fatemiyoun militia and the Lebanese Hezbollah militia.
