US-led forces redeploy in Himo base in eastern Syria

The US-led International Coalition forces redeployed its units in the Himo military base, northeastern Syria, after evacuating it for several days, local source told Zaman al-Wasl on Friday.

The International Coalition forces redeployed to the Himo base located on the western edge of the city of Qamishli in the northern countryside of Hasakah, days after it was targeted by the Iran-backed Iraqi Islamic Resistance group.

In addition, the International Coalition forces sent a cargo plane from its military bases deployed in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, carrying weapons and logistical equipment, to its military base at the “Kharab al-Jir” airport in the Rumailan area in the northeastern countryside of Hasakah.

The military reinforcements come as coalition forces conduct training with heavy weapons inside the base of the Al-Omar oil field in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, as part of preparations to confront the attacks on the US bases by militias linked to Iran, in eastern Syria.
