IED kills Senior Commander of Hazm Movement


(Zaman Al Wasl) – A powerful car bomb killed senior rebel commander of U.S.-backed Hazm movement In Idlib province on Monday, source told Zaman al-Wasl.

Khaled Ahmed, head of security battalion of Hazm movement, was killed when unknown group planted an IED in his car in Marrat al-Na’san in Idlib countryside, according to source.

Ahmed’s assassination followed a series of serial killing for rebel commanders in areas they control in war-torn county.

On Sunday,  commander of Eastern Ghouta rebels mourned in statement posted online, killing of senior commander in Douma, the rebel-held city northeast Damascus on Sunday.

Zahran Alloush, the commander Islam Army and United Military Command of Eastern Ghouta suburbs, said Bashir al-Ajwa, spokesman and senior commander of ‘Osoud al-Ghouta’ brigade has been killed by an armed group in his home town of Douma.

Also, unknown gunmen assassinated a commander in a rebel brigade affiliated to al-Ummah Army in the city of Douma, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights

Meanwhile, at least 191,000 people have been killed in Syria's conflict; more than double the figure documented a year ago and probably still an under-estimate, according to the United Nations.
