A delegation of US members of Congress issued a statement on Monday after returning from a trip to Egypt, Israel, and Jordan, where they met with senior Egyptian, Israeli, and Jordanian military and civilian officials.
The delegation, comprised of representatives Adam Smith, Mikie Sherrill, and Greg Landsman, reviewed the current process for aid getting into Gaza, and in their statement said they "urged Israel to take steps to increase the flow of humanitarian aid" to the enclave.
"Additional crossings must be open, logistical barriers that slow the flow of aid must be addressed, and Israel must ensure people in Gaza can safely move to areas with food, water, and medical care," the statement said.
