(Zaman Al Wasl)- All have been waiting the outcomes of the US-Arab alliance strikes on Islamic State for Iraq and al-Sham “ISIS” while US planned to hit another Islamic group adopts Jihad principles, but different from ISIS’s practices on ground.
Although United State’s propaganda concentrated on ISIS, but in reality the target was a faction called “Khorasan” al-Qaeda affiliate under al-Zawahiri leadership. Conflicts between al-Qaeda and ISIS were clear which ended up in direct fighting between the Islamic State and al-Nusra front, al-Qaeda’s branch in Syria.
USA considers “Khorasan” group more dangerous the threatening to USA from ISIS, because of that the opening strikes targeted Khorasan’s bases and killed many of its members, especially “Mohsin al-Fadli”, the Kuwaiti leader who had done many sensitive operation for al-Qaeda in many countries.
USA describes Khorasan as a group of many Jihadists from Afghanistan, Yemen, Europe and Syria, it imminently threatens USA through its cooperation with Yemeni explosives experts to target American aeroplanes.
In reality, Khorasan does not exist in Syria in this name, Kharasanies are part of al-Nusra front, therefore USA targeted al-Nusra first, claimed targeting Khorasan group. USA claims that Kharasan’s members went to Syria to recruit Europeans and Americans in al-Qaeda for Jihad, because they can travel easily to USA using their nationalities and passports and doing explosive operations on planes.
Despite that USA has not provided any proof of its story about Khorasan group, it has targeted it in first strikes on Syria, and moreover, it declared targeting it. USA explained how that could save USA from possible terrorist attacks.
