Civil Defense begins restoration of 15 medical facilities in northern Syria

The Syrian Civil Defense Organization began restoring and rehabilitating more than 15 medical facilities, distributed among hospitals, primary health care centers, and women’s and family health centers, in Idlib and Aleppo.

The rescue agency operating in northwestern Syria said in a report that these facilities had been subjected to previous bombing, and were also damaged after the devastating earthquake that struck the region last year, and restoration and rehabilitation work is being carried out in coordination and cooperation with the Health Directorate and partners operating the medical facilities.

The group added that the project is through a memorandum of understanding between the Syrian Civil Defense and the medical organizations operating the facilities included in the project, to ensure continuous coordination and cooperation to provide integrated services to civilians in light of the difficult reality experienced by more than 4 million civilians in northwestern Syria, with the continued attacks by regime forces and Russia. , weak infrastructure and a significant decline in life-saving humanitarian aid.

The project at this stage includes Al-Qaniya Hospital in the western countryside of Idlib, the primary health care center in Harbanoush, the specialized surgical hospital, the health care center for thalassemia in the city of Idlib, the primary health care center in Al-Bardaqli, Al-Hidaya Hospital in Qah, Harem General Hospital, and the care center.
