Syrian regime frees 8 detainees in swap deal: monitoring group

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regime has released 8 detainees, 3 women and 5 men, in swap deal with rebels near Damascus, a monitoring group said on Saturday.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights said that regime freed 8 civilians in  prisoner exchange deal with ‘Fursan Ahl al-Sunnah’ brigade for releasing Col. Mohamed Milhem.

The monitoring group accused regime forces of arbitrary arrest for civilians to use them in swap deals with rebels to free soldiers and officers who were taken as hostages.
