One child killed in mine explosion in Idlib: WH

A child was killed on Saturday when a landmine left over from the war exploded in an olive field in the northern Idlib province, the Syrian Civil Defense said.

The boy, 13, was working as an olive picker and his 15-year-old brother was killed and injured when a landmine left over from the war exploded in the eastern farms of the village of Maarbalit, southeast of Idlib.

The White Helmets added that this happened at the same time as artillery shelling by regime forces targeted the outskirts of the villages of Maarbalit, Majdaliya and San in the same countryside.
