Kurdish-led SDF cuts off the Internet in Raqqa city

The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) cut off the internet networks in the entire Raqqa Governorate, northeastern Syria, coinciding with the outbreak of mass demonstrations in the city and its countryside, in light of the suppression of demonstrators, which resulted in deaths and injuries, amid international silence regarding its violations against civilians.

Local sources told Zaman al-Wasl that the the YPG-led Kurdish forces cut off the internet and communication networks in the Raqqa Governorate and its countryside completely on Friday, coinciding with the outbreak of mass demonstrations in the city, demanding the withdrawal of the SDF forces from it and the entry of the Military Operations Administration into it, coinciding with the suppression of demonstrators with live bullets, which resulted in deaths and injuries.

The sources confirmed that a 12-year-old child was killed on Thursday by SDF bullets in the town of Abu Hardoub in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor (Al-Jazeera Desert) in eastern Syria, due to raising the victory sign with his fingers in front of a convoy of SDF forces that was deployed in the town.

Five civilians were killed this week, in addition to the injury of about 40 civilians, including women and children, as a result of the SDF's suppression of anti-SDF demonstrations in Raqqa Governorate and its countryside in northeastern Syria.
