Russia withdraws forces from the borders of occupied Golan Heights towards coastal Hmeimim base

Russian forces withdrew all their military points that were deployed on the outskirts of the occupied Syrian Golan Heights and the Quneitra countryside in southern Syria on Friday towards the Hmeimim air base in the coastal Jableh region, informed sources told Zaman al-Wasl.

Russia withdrew about 6 military points that were deployed in the Quneitra governorate on the outskirts of the occupied Syrian Golan Heights by Israel to the Hmeimim base.

The sources indicated that the convoy withdrew accompanied by a Russian warplane and a giant "Swan" aircraft, in addition to escorting the Military Operations Department, as it included armored vehicles, soldiers and logistical equipment.

Russia has withdrawn all of its military points, numbering about 100 points, from the countrysides of Idlib, Hama, Aleppo, Latakia, Tartus, Damascus, Daraa, Sweida, Homs, Quneitra, Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa to the Hmeimim air base and to the Qamishli airport in the northeastern countryside of Hasakah Governorate, where all of its forces are currently concentrated in those two bases, including aircraft, air defense systems and other military equipment.
