Manbij: SDF blast kills 4 and wounds 7

A car bomb explosion rocked the northern city of Manbij on Tuesday afternoon near the recruitment building in the city center, killing 4 people and wounding 7 others with varying degrees of severity.

Local sources told Zaman al-Wasl that the explosion occurred in a civilian car parked in front of the recruitment building in the city of Manbij in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, northern Syria, causing severe damage to the surrounding buildings. The explosion was heard in various parts of the city, and ambulance teams rushed to the scene to transport the wounded to hospitals and provide the necessary first aid.

The explosion incident comes after the factions of the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army took control of the city of "Manbij", following violent confrontations with the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces" (SDF) that withdrew from the city during the past weeks, amid accusations directed at the "SDF" of involvement in the bombing operation.

The sources indicated that the attack may be an attempt to stir up chaos and destabilize security in the city, which is currently witnessing a reorganization of its administration after the change of control over it, in light of the escalating fears of similar attacks.

The city of Manbij in the eastern countryside of Aleppo has recently witnessed major changes after the "Syrian National Army" took control, amid promises to improve security conditions and basic services there.
