Aleppo: SDF militants kill two General Security forces

Two General Security forces were killed on Friday by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces in Ashrafieh neighborhood in the northern city of Aleppo.

Since the entry of the Military Operations Department into it, the city of Aleppo has witnessed an escalation in the pace of violence, which led to the deaths of many civilians and fighters as a result of the continuous targeting by the YPG-led forces.

THe SDF militants are still deployed in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods in the city of Aleppo, while carrying out infiltration and surveillance operations in a number of neighboring neighborhoods, including the neighborhoods of "New Syriac, Al-Jandoul Roundabout, Sheikh Taha, Al-Midan, Bustan Al-Basha, Al-Khalidiya, Al-Layrmon Roundabout, and Shihan Roundabout."

Among the deaths was the Kurdish journalist "Mustafa Al-Hussein", known as Mustafa Al-Sarout, who was killed by a sniper bullet from the "SDF" forces on the outskirts of the "Ashrafieh" neighborhood, in central Aleppo.

In Manbij, an explosive device attached to a car exploded in the city center in the eastern countryside of Aleppo on Friday without causing any injuries.

Local activists accused the SDF of being behind the explosion that occurred in front of the Saraya building.

Manbij witnessed another explosion on Tuesday, where two people were killed and four others were injured after an explosive device targeted the recruitment building in the city.

The SDF forces were also accused of carrying out the operation, especially after the factions of the "Syrian National Army" took control of the city and expelled the SDF forces from it.

In a related context, two members of the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army were killed during violent clashes on Friday that erupted with the SDF forces around the Tishrin Dam in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.

The National Army announced full control over the city of Manbij and Tal Rifaat, but the skirmishes are still ongoing.

The region has witnessed a state of security and military escalation between the two parties since the start of military operations at the end of November and the subsequent fall of the Assad regime on December 8.
