The Syrian Minister of Communications, Eng. Hussein Al-Masri, said that the restrictions imposed by the former regime on the Syrian people in the field of communications have been lifted.
Al-Masri added to the Syrian News Agency "SANA" that the measures included canceling the speed limit in the provinces of Daraa and Quneitra, to improve the quality of the Internet and facilitate access to information and electronic services.
He stressed that the blocking imposed on websites supporting the Syrian revolution has been lifted, to enhance freedom of expression and access to information, and said: "We have connected communications from northern Syria to the rest of the Syrian provinces, to facilitate communication and provide communications services to all citizens in Syria."
He stressed that the ministry seeks "always to take measures that contribute to improving the lives of citizens in free Syria."
