The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced, on Thursday, the resumption of issuing passports to expatriate citizens, next Sunday, through diplomatic missions and consular offices.
The ministry said in a post on its official account on the X platform, "We announce to the expatriates the return of the passport issuance system through our diplomatic missions and electronic consular offices."
The Syrian Foreign Ministry explained that this will be "according to the rotation system in effect at each diplomatic mission, starting next Sunday."
It is noteworthy that the main passport center in Damascus was exposed to a fire on the day of the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime, last month, which disrupted the provision of passport services.
