Secret garage contains 8,000 cars belong to detainees arrested by Assad

A secret garage containing 8,000 cars was found, confiscated by the Assad regime after their owners were arrested over the years of the Syrian revolution.

The cars that Zaman al-Wasl's camera monitored bore Syrian, Saudi, Lebanese, Iraqi and European license plates. The place also included ambulances, and a large portion of them were burned on the night of the regime's fall after their engines and contents were stolen by vandals who tried to burn down the entire garage with its cars.

The garage owners called on Zaman al-Wasl to anyone who owns a car confiscated by the regime to go to the site in order to receive their cars.

The scenes of the confiscated cars are additional evidence of the crimes of the Assad regime in confiscating the property of Syrian citizens, for which it enacted laws in order to steal their homes, lands and anything that belongs to them.
