Two people were killed in an attack carried out by an unidentified drone near the northwestern city of Sarmada, the Syrian Civil Defense said on Wednesday.
The attack of Idlib province was the first in weeks following the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime amid growing fears of a backlash by Assad's militiamen loyal to Iran.
The local rescue service said its teams transferred the body of one of the dead to Bab al-Hawa Hospital, while civilians at the scene transferred the body of the other to the hospital.
