Damascus, Idlib, Aleppo, Homs and Hama provinces witnessed celebrations on the occasion of reaching a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, chanting slogans in solidarity with the Palestinians.
Thousands of Syrians took to the streets on Thursday night to express their joy, while mosque minarets resounded with Takbeers. One of the most important destinations for the celebrants in the capital Damascus was the Umayyad Square, where they gathered carrying the flags of Syria and Palestine.
The celebrants chanted slogans such as "Free Palestine" and "With our souls we will sacrifice for you, Al-Aqsa Mosque."
