The Syrian Directorate of Statistics has begun collecting accurate data on neighborhoods and local communities, targeting the most vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities.
The Director of the Statistics Department, Eng. Mohammad Al-Mousa, confirmed to the Syrian News Agency (SANA) that this initiative aims to improve planning and direct resources towards achieving social justice and enhancing the services provided.
Al-Mousa said that the community committees will begin the census process in the coming days, under the supervision of the ministry, and we call on the residents to cooperate with the committees and submit the required documents.
He added that the resulting database will be linked to the population database to ensure the accuracy of information, which enhances transparency and integration between the various parties.
