The Prime Minister of the caretaker government, Eng. Mohamed Al-Bashir, issued a decision to terminate the General Corporation for Foreign Trade, the official news Agency reported on Tuesday.
The Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade will issue and take all decisions and procedures resulting from the abolition of the corporation that dominated the foreign trade export sector. The ministry will replace it with all its rights and obligations, according to the government statement.
The Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade will also prepare a list that includes the names of the employees who are required to continue working to follow up on the liquidation of the General Corporation for Foreign Trade, and they have the right to seek assistance from whomever they see fit, while the rest of the employees will be placed at the disposal of the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, according to the text of the decision.
