According to the report, interim government’s forces met fierce resistance in some areas, and the subsequent exchange of gunfire led to deaths and casualties on both sides. Several people were captured.
In response, fire was opened from the Lebanese territory at Syria’s borderline village of Zita al-Gharbiyah when transitional government’s troops entered it.
