Turkey lifts restrictions on Syrian goods imports

The Director of Relations at the General Authority of Land and Sea Ports of Syria said on Tuesday that the Authority's sessions and discussions with the Turkish Ministry of Trade resulted in a decision to lift restrictions imposed on the export of Syrian goods and products to Turkish markets.

Mazen Alloush, in a statement to the official news agency SANA, also confirmed that Turkey has allowed the reactivation of the movement of exporting goods - transit - to foreign countries.

Alloush added that the Border Crossings Authority has agreed with both the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Supply and the Ministry of Transport in Jordan to exempt Syrian trucks entering Jordanian territory from all fees that were previously imposed.
