Hama: Arrest of the leader of "Al-Tarameeh" militia in security campaign

The General Security Department on Tuesday has arrested Tamam Ali al-Sheikh, the leader of the "Al-Tarameeh" militia in the town of Maardis, as part of a broad security campaign aimed at enhancing security and stability in Hama province.

Sheikh, the leader of the faction affiliated with the 25th Special Tasks Division, which was led by war criminal "Suhail al-Hassan", is considered one of the most wanted and accused of committing crimes against the Syrian people.

As part of the ongoing security campaign, the General Security Department issued a circular to the residents of the city of "Souran" in the northern Hama countryside, urging them to immediately head to the Grand Mosque to hand over any weapons in their possession to the General Security Department.

The General Security, which works for the Ministry of Interior, confirmed that anyone who violates the instructions and refuses to hand over their weapons will be subject to accountability and legal prosecution.
