Hundreds gathered in the southern city of Sweida on Tuesday to denounce the speech of the Israeli occupation government's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and to confirm the rejection of any separatist projects, the Sweida 24 network said.
The city of Sweida witnessed demonstrations denouncing Netanyahu's statements in which he indirectly expressed himself as the protector of the Druze community in Syria and that the new Syrian army is forbidden to enter the southern region.
The demonstrators raised banners emphasizing the unity of Syrian lands and rejecting any division or separatist projects, amid the presence of dignitaries of Sweida and activists of the peaceful movement.
The popular movements, according to the local news network, came in response to calls from various Syrian groups and components, as the participants stressed the rejection of any foreign interference in Syrian affairs, and the demonstrators chanted slogans that show Sweida's firm position towards the unity of the country and the non-compromise on national sovereignty.
