Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stressed on Tuesday that the full implementation of the agreement signed between Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa and the commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Ferhat Abdi Shahin, will contribute to strengthening security and peace within Syria.
During a speech he gave at an iftar banquet in the capital Ankara, which was reported by the Anadolu Agency, Erdogan stressed that all Syrians will be the biggest winners from this agreement, stressing that Turkey sees every step aimed at cleansing Syria of terrorism as a positive development.
The Turkish president pointed out that his country attaches great importance to the territorial integrity of Syria, and strengthening its stability and solidarity, stressing the need to spread peace and prosperity in the region without any religious, ethnic or sectarian discrimination.
He added: "We can thwart conspiracies and ensure our future, as much as we strengthen our brotherhood as Arabs, Turks and Kurds," referring to the importance of coexistence between the various components of the region.
