Israeli warplanes carried out night raids on the Tal al-Manea area in al-Kiswah, rural Damascus, destroying several military sites.
Initial information indicates that the raids targeted former positions of the ousted Syrian regime in the area, but precise details have yet to be revealed.
Subsequently, several warplanes landed at the Russian Hmeimim base in rural Latakia, a move that raises questions about the objectives behind this move. The reasons behind their presence remain unknown.
The Syrian Civil Defense (White Helmets) confirmed that two Israeli airstrikes targeted a military barracks in the 132nd Brigade, as well as the adjacent area between the brigade and the al-Dahiya housing neighborhood in Daraa city. These strikes killed three people and wounded 19 others, including four children and a woman.
The White Helmets indicated that the first raid targeted the 132nd Brigade, resulting in civilian casualties in the nearby buildings.
As Civil Defense teams responded to rescue the injured, the building connecting the residences to the 132nd Brigade was hit by a second airstrike, killing two additional civilians and wounding three Civil Defense volunteers.
Search and rescue operations continue in the area as Daraa residents call for more medical support to cope with the increasing number of casualties.
