The bodies of an Idlib family killed by Assad's militants found in Latakia

Syrian security forces found the bodies of a family of three in the coastal province of Latakia. They had been killed by pro-Assad militias for sectarian revenge following the bloody events two weeks ago.

The family, originally from Idlib province, was found in the countryside of Qardaha, the hometown of former regime leader Bashar al-Assad.

According to security sources, the family was liquidated by remnants of the Bashar al-Assad regime during the events on the Syrian coast that erupted two weeks ago. Their bodies were hidden in the mountainous area, solely because they hailed from Idlib province.

This crime comes after weeks of escalating attacks carried out by remnants of the former regime on the Syrian coast, including field executions of civilians, including other families from the western Idlib countryside who were killed simply because their car bore an Idlib license plate.
