A member of the Economic Relations Board at the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rawad Ramadan, announced that Syria and Turkey are about to sign 12 cooperation agreements during the visit of the Turkish delegation headed by Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat to Damascus. He affirmed the support of the two countries' presidencies for these agreements.
Mohammad al-Atassi, head of planning and international cooperation at the Syrian Ministry of Finance, revealed to Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper that there is an intention to reactivate more than eight old agreements, including strategic partnerships, double taxation, joint banks, and capital exchange platforms, in addition to activating Turkish industrial sectors within Syria.
Anadolu Agency quoted Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat as saying that his country and Syria will form a strong economic integration model similar to the model between the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and the European Union.
The Syrian capital, Damascus, received a Turkish delegation yesterday, Wednesday, headed by Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, and including a group of Turkish businessmen and representatives of the Turkish Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
